Hanna Webster is a health journalist, essayist, and poet. She holds an M.A. in science writing from Johns Hopkins University. She has won multiple awards in her work as a reporter, including with the Society for Features Journalism, Keystone Media Awards and Society for Professional Journalists. In 2024, Webster was named the Lenfest Institute Emerging Journalist of Pennsylvania for her work highlighting the opioid crisis and the consequences of abortion restrictions post-Dobbs.
Webster's poetry has appeared in HAD, Bellingham Review, Fifth Wheel Press, BRUISER Mag, and elsewhere. Her chapbook, "I'm So Glad I Stuck Around for This," was longlisted for the 2023 Palette Poetry Chapbook Prize. She lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
