Hanna Webster is a health reporter at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She has an M.A. in science writing from Johns Hopkins University. In her first year at the Post-Gazette, she won first place for her story on over-the-counter hearing aids with the Society of Features Journalism. She also won second place for health reporting at the Keystone Media Awards, and she was nominated for two 2023 Golden Quill Awards for science and medical journalism.
Webster is a photographer and has published art in print journals and pop-up galleries. She is also a SLAM poetry finalist, CUPSI competition poet, and has poetry published in Bellingham Review, Beyond the Veil Press, Jeopardy Magazine, and elsewhere. In 2022, her poem "Desire as Peach Wine" received the Editor's Choice Award for Frost Meadow Review, Volume 10. In moments of free time, you can find her reading, doing acro yoga, or playing the guitar.
